BOOK REVIEW – Make Your Own Toy Dog
Sorry this is a few weeks late…I’ve had camera issues.
This is Pax the puppy, he is our review for Week 8 from the Sew Soft Toys 17 week book review. He will be donated to Crafters for Charity, along with the other lovely animals.
Here is how he was made…
Pax was reduced to 65% of the size of the pattern in the Sew Soft Toys book on page 15. I used up-cycled wool and mohair fabric from a jacket I found at a local op shop, the same as Ahur the camel. There is 11 pieces in this pattern and I used blanket stitch and followed the instructions for sewing the pieces together. Once he was stuffed and stitched up I sewed a few stitches for each eye and his snout using a dark brown cotton.
Voila! He is very cute.
All up it took me an 1 hour to make Pax the puppy.
Stay tuned for next weeks animal review…
